No
That was just an unfortunate turn of events. One incident does not make a trend.

I've read numerous news stories about this incident. While there are some inconsistencies, there are some details that are commonly reported.

1. The suspect was struck by on of the officers even though he was not resisting arrest and he ran.
2. The two agents fired 15 shots an an armed man who was running away and hit him once.
3, The agents did not discover the marijuana he was smuggling until AFTER they had shot him.

If these three items are true, the agents were rightfully convicted. I have no way of knowing the truth of the matter here, only what was reported. Any law enforcement officer has an obligation to follow the law just like the rest of us. At this point I have no reason to believe that the court that convicted and sentenced them did so for any other reason than the agents were not lawfully conducting the arrest. You can't just shoot unarmed people when they are running away, especially when you have no more evidence than the agents at at the time they started shooting.

How would you like to get pulled over speeding and get struck by the office and then running in fear get shot? Even if you were doing something wrong that is not justified.

Ive hear about this incident. If we wanted to keep drugs away we would congratulate these two boarder patrol agents. This shows that they do not care about the drug influence or else they would not put the agents in jail.

Where were they sentenced to prison? I am right near the shooting area of that 22 year old man. The rock thrower. You'd think if your story was true, it would be attached to the Mexican Consulate investigating the death of a Mexican National-huh.

Bush has his hands full in Iraq. Unfortunately other things will suffer. Everything unjust that happens is not Bushes fault. I'm unfamiliar with this case and don't like drug cartels. They need to start killing every drug trafficker they find if you ask me or come up with a more effective plan on combating drugs!

They will get pardoned in due time, if Bush Pardoned them today, cops all over would think they have a license to shoot anyone, anytime they want to and get a pardon in the name of law and order.
Judges, juries and prosecutor's would figure why convict anyone if the pres was going to turn it over the next day.
