Yes, unless you don't want people to deal with you... You can guard it only to an extent though...

I'm not sure what you mean by "guarding." This would imply a need to constantly "protect" reputation and integrity from attack of some sort. One's integrity or reputation can be challenged, but both are usually already established. If one is spreading falsehoods affecting my reputation or integrity I would counter with the truth used to establish both my rep and integrity. But the use of the word "guard" leads me to think I would have to constantly take measures to avoid being attacked....and presuming someone will attack me. Sort of like the paranoia syndrome I guess.....

Off course, ones reputation and integrity is a valuable thing and like any valuable item is worth guarding.

When it comes down to it, that's all you are is your integrity and the reputation that precedes you. YES it's worth guarding. Without them, you aren't worth listening to.

Of course it is, integrity is key to how others perceive you. Remember it takes years to build a good reputation for yourself and seconds to destroy it.

Yes absolutely, with out them you have no credibility.

A reputation can take a lifetime to build and only a second to destroy.
