A) it was mentioned in the Quran, and by the prophet himself.
B) Islam is the completion of all of the Abrahamic religions
C) Allah would not accept any religion but Islam therefore it is the last message, last prophet..

[033:040] Muhammad is not the father of any of your men, but (he is) the Apostle of God, and the Seal of the Prophets: and God has full knowledge of all things.

"Do they seek other than the Religion of Allah (Islam)? While to Him submit all other creatures in the heavens and the Earth, willingly or unwillingly. And to Him they shall all be returned. Say, ‘We believe in Allah and what was sent down to us, and what was sent down to Abraham, Ismail, Isaac, Jacob and the tribes, and what was revealed to Moses, Jesus, and the Prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between them, and to Him (Allah) we have submitted (in Islam).’ And whosoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will never be accepted of him, and in the hereafter he will be of the losers (in the hellfire)." The Holy Qur'an, Chapter 3, Verses 83-85.

This day have I perfected your religion for you, completed My favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion. But if any is forced by hunger, with no inclination to transgression, God is indeed Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.[005:003]

Because Islam has been made the religion which God will protect until the End of Time, hence the same original Arabic holy Quran and Islamic creed, i.e. there is no god but Allah (God) and Muhammad is His messenger for over 1400 years since the advent and completion of Islam. Muslims may differ in many theological issues but our holy book and creed remain the same regardless of sects or school of thoughts.

Compare that with other world religions.

"Islam is a religion that is essentially rationalistic in the widest
sense of this term considered etymologically and historically....the teachings of the Prophet, the Qur'an has invariably kept its place as the fundamental starting point, and the dogma of unity of God has always been proclaimed therein with a grandeur a majesty, an invariable purity and with a note of sure conviction, which it is hard to find surpassed outside the pale of Islam....A creed so precise, so stripped of all theological complexities and consequently so accessible to the ordinary understanding might be expected to possess and does indeed possess a marvelous power of winning its way into the consciences of men."
(Edward Montet, 'La Propagande Chretienne et ses Adversaries
Musulmans'. Also in T.W. Arnold in 'The Preaching of Islam')

Muhammad(p) bring with him The Quran, the latest and last revelation/law from God to all mankind.
Whereas the Gospel is intended only for the Israelite.

There would be no other prophet after Muhammad(p) as after this only the promised end of days will arrive. Jesus(p) will descent back and we believe he will uphold Islam and The Quran.

Islam is the name of the religion, and the claimed prophet of Islam is Muhammad. Followers of Islam are called Muslims.
Was he (Muhammad) a prophet of God? Simple answer: No he was not. He was a false prophet.
(see the reference for details)

He may be considered the last prophet by those that think he was a prophet spoken about in the bible. This is an error.
(see reference below for details)

Since he was not a prophet of God, then there is no logic to ask why no 'other prophets' after him. However, there were other false prophets, such as Joseph Smith - the founder of the Mormon religion. Joseph Smith made many of the same claims as Muhammad. It is quite interesting at the parallels between Joseph and Muhammad. Another example of a false prophet is the founder of the Jehovah's Witness cult. He also made many false prophecies, and the biblical test of prophet-hood speaks against any man claiming to be a prophet, whose prophecies do not come to pass.

Jesus warned that there would be false prophets. These are simply three examples.

Because all the other prophets who were send before him were killed by their people ( except for Jesus (pbuh) who was raised to the sky) . So Allah had to send another prophet (Muhammad(pbuh)) to show people that Islam is the only true religion and the only religion which will stay all over the years for all people.

To this day, there are prophets of God. Its just another way of trying to make people believe something and trying to protect it from changing.

Mohammad was not a prophet. Jesus Christ is the Testament and there was no need for the Good Lord to send anybody else. Jesus said to beware of false prophets, and mohammad is just another false prophet.

Because the ones before him are believed to have gotten the Law but when their disciples wrote it, it was misswritten. Therefore, God had to appear again and tell it again. When he told the Law to Mohammed there was no distortion and hence it was not necessary for God to appear to anyone else.
