hiya i have been eating birdseye steamed veg with rice with a little of bernard matthews turkey ham on for my dinner and then just the birdseye steamed veg without the rice for my dinner and a little turkey ham will i loose weight ??? i am also going to a kick areobics once a week ?? i am 5'7" and i weight just under 10 stone ??? thanxs xx

just under 10 stone is an english measurement its is equivilant to 137 pounds !

Severe Weather Warning - can I suggest with the weather being so bad that he next time that you go out of the house you put some stones in your pockets so that you don't get blown away in the wind, tee-hee!. Your height weight sounds just fine to me, but just my opinion. Thanks for making me smile

You do not need to lose weight in anyway whatsoever.

Your BMI is 21.5 and is a good weight up until 25. If you must lose some weight then do not go beyond 20.

Look at www.weightlossresources.co.uk to see their BMI calculator and ideal weight table. They also offer healthy eating tips.

At the moment you are eating way too little and you don't mention breakfast.

I'm on 1000 calories a day and eating low fat but could probably stand to have another 200-400 calories to lose weight more effectively.

At the moment by the sounds of it you're on about 800 calories a day. Your body is going to think it is starving and will store calories as fat to keep it's reserves up also your metabolism slows down so the day you eat normally it will not burn off the fat very quickly.

I know that we all read about these willowy models in magazines that are 5 ft 10 inches and only seven and a half stone but the reality is they are starving themselves and their bodies will be going into shut down. When this happens your periods will stop, your fertility will be effected and you will start to grow downy hair over your body. This is your body's way of keeping you warm due to the lack of body fat.

The exercise is a good idea but if you're doing that class on the small amount of calories you're consuming you'll pass out in a few weeks time.

Good luck, try to realise that you are at the low end of the healthy weight range and no doubt look absolutely gorgeous the way you are.

Whilst the women in magazines are held up as beautiful I think the majority of men prefer women who, whilst aren't over weight, look healthy and have the curves that women are supposed to. They are pre-programmed to think like this as the women with the curves are most likely to be fertile.

Without even thinking about men just maintain a healthy weight for you. Starving yourself in the way you are is quite a miserable thing to do and is only going to lead you to become obsessed with thinking about food.

Go out, have fun, enjoy life and your healthy, gorgeous body!

Eat nourishing food with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables being part of it. Chew each morsel at least 32 times. This will activate signal to the brain as soon as u have had enough. Besides this change in eating style, take regular light exercises and brisk walks every day. U will be able to gain/shed all extra weight gracefully and in a reasonable time span. No food or drink in between the food and not more than three meals a day, unless u r diabetic.

for all the Americans out there 10 stone is 140lbs.
in England we count our weight in stones. there is 14lbs in 1 stone.

yes you Will lose weight but it wont mean you'll be healthy.
you need a varied diet including fish, chicken, fruit and fibre.

at 5' 7" though I'm sure your at your ideal weight so be careful.
if you have flabby bits then you need to tone your muscles and the exercise you are doing although good for you may not be the right thing for you.

if you can afford gym membership you will get a personal trainer that can tone you to perfection.
good luck, be careful. too skinny is far less attractive than too flabby x

Maybe you should vary the veggies and have fresh ones sometimes. You could have grilled/steamed chicken breast with the veggies for a change or steamed fish. Alternate the veggies with salad. They say that not eating carbs at night will help you lose weight. You should lose with this diet and exercise but make sure you dont get bored with the same old thing. Good luck.

i would think so but i would say try and vary your diet more and maybe add some fresh stuff x and anyway i weigh 9st 4 with a bmi of 21 which is classed as in the normal band and am only 5 ft 3" , so i wouold say find out what your ideal weight should be before you loose too much. good luck x

it will provide you with a range of nutrients in that one meal but you do need a little more variety. Try other low fat meals with high veg and protein content. Also try to do a little more exercise than once a week. I should think you will lose a little weight and if you are a good weight for your size you will just maintain that with the healthy lifestyle

Count the calories. A normal male can take in about 2,500 cal a day, a female can have about 2,000, both combined with exercise can loose weight. I recently lost about 50 lbs in about a 4 month period staying between 1,500 to 2,000 cal per day, sometimes lower. Remember, most labels count calories per serving, most packages have more than one serving.

You should, but before you loose weight you should find out what your ideal weight should be, you should also try to eat more fresh fruit and veg and vary your diet.
