You definitely want to go to your local health food store a purchase chlorophyll. Chlorophyll is the naturally occuring matter plants produce that help them to photosynthesize. It's the green pigmentation of plants.

If you do a search on chlorophyll on the internet, you'll find that it has almost the exact same chemical composition of human blood (or heme--as in hemeglobin). Many researchers consider chlorophyll to be the blood of plants.

I've read accounts online of different instances where people needed to undergo surgery the next day and would doubtless need a blood transfusion because of very low blood counts (one was a child and the other was a middle-aged man I believe). Well, the mother of the child was very concerned about this and was just not happy about her daughter having to take blood from another person so she asked her friend, the natural alternatives person, what she should do about this as the surgery was the following morning. He recommended drinking a large amount of liquid chlorophyl (I'm sorry I forget the exact amount but it was about as much as whole container's worth--like the size you would find at a health food store). The next morning she went in for the surgery as normal and when they checked her blood count, her blood count was WAY up and was completely up to the normal amount. A similar story is reported with the middle-aged man.

I recommend doing a search online to learn about the health benefits of it. I've also included some links at the bottom of my answer to some of the websites you will find helpful but definitely do your own research, you'll be amazed at the results and it's Startling how similar chlorophyll is to human blood (heme). It's no wonder it has this affect on humans who drink it. You should search "chlorophyll health benefits" on the internet.

Oh, I should also note here that it's 100% safe and effective and is actually very good for you. There are no known adverse reactions associated with it except for (for some individuals) it may make your urine or feces appear green. That's it. It's safe for you and it's good for you. I bet adding a little bit to your diet each day will do wonders for your blood count.

If he's anaemic (low haemoglobin levels), he needs to take an iron supplement or eat red meat and liver and green leafy vegetables. Also cut down on tea, coffee and cola as these reduce the body's ability to absorb iron.

Drink lot's of fluid to make up for lost or donated blood. Eating foods high in iron will help replace the hemoglobin in the blood.

Well, your body is constantly regenerating new cells. Blood cells included.
The best advice I can give you is to drink plenty of fluids- water, juice, gatorade (watered down about halfway is best)
AND eat healthy foods- plenty of dark green vegetables, fruits, starches (potatoes, rice)
That will help your body speed up any healing it needs to do, and ensure that the new blood cells your body is producing are strong, healthy ones! :)

If you dare to eat pig's liver try stir frying them with soya sauce or steam them. But if you can't stand the taste, you can try to get hold of iron tablets which help to build up more blood cells.
