Over the weekend, my friend turned 24 and I had a party for him at my place. He brought a friend with him and the friend looked 22-23. I also had a coworker who was only 20 there. He was in the Army and is leaving for Iraq in a couple of weeks. The cops drove by late at night and my friends had the door open and I was in the back of the house and did not know it. I came into the living room and even though I have a screen door closed but with see through windows, the cops just came walking in without knocking on it. They arrested the kid who I thought was 22 was only 20, 1 month until he was 21. They talked to my Army friend , but did not give him an underage drinking fine. 1. Is it legal in PA, for the cops to walk in the house without knocking, even though the screen door was closed but not locked. 2. If my Army friend does not get a fine, (the cops said he would not get anything that night), can they still charge me with him drinking underage anyhow, I got 2 counts in the mail today

Lolita is a nickname for Delores. It is also a term used to describe a prepubescent or adolescent girl who is attractive and sexually responsive. She lusts after older men, and is lusted by them in return. The term originates from the Vladimir Nabakov novel ''Lolita'' which told the tale of the love affair between middle aged Humbert and his 12 year old stepdaughter Lolita. It became a popular term in the 90's when the teenaged Amy Fisher who shot the wife of her older lover Joey Buttafauco, was called ''The Long Island Lolita''. The term was also used a lot during the controversy surrounding the 90's remake of the 1962 film version of Lolita directed by the late Stanley Kubrick. The film which starred Jeremy Irons and was directed by Adrian Lyne, had trouble finding backers due to the controversial subject matter. 14 year old Dominique Swain played the title character, and the fact that a child actress was playing an underaged character involved with sex with adults fueled the controversy. Lolita is also used as a euphemism for child erotica, child porn, or barely legal adult porn.

My 13 year old daughter is starting to act like a lolita.

Amy Fisher, the Long Island Lolita, was arraigned today.

I just saw the new version of Lolita, and it's better than the 1962 version.

The two counts are serving alcohol to minors? It's not at all clear why the cops came into the house. Unless the cops could see something illegal in plain sight, they cannot enter the house, screen door or not. Your door can be wide open, and its still a 4th Amendment violation for them to enter without cause.

As for the fine/sentence, the Penn blue laws are depressingly old and convoluted. Good luck.

An officer requires "reasonable suspicion" in order to investigate a situation as you describe. Once approaching the door....by your own comments, they obviously could use the "Plain View Doctrine" to further their investigation by observing what appeared to be underage drinking violations. That moves the "reasonable suspicion" to "probable cause" that an offense is occurring in their presence...therefore they have a right to "freeze" any given situation until such time that it is determined a search warrant is required.

If you feel your constitutional rights were violated...you should contact a local attorney.

Best wishes!

It is legal in Pa for them to walk in since they saw what was going on through the door. Since your friend was giving drinks to
and underage person he can be held responsible as well as the owner of the home. I would contact an attorney in PA
