some good points, but how to you analyze GPA standards to make them eligible?

No. How do you think you would feel if you were a student at a particular school and found out that you didn't make the school team because someone who doesn't even go to the school beat you in a try-out? I also think there would be liability issues; the school would have to be insured against injury to children who were not their students. Just as you can't decide to send your child to school for math, but not for English, I don't think you should be able to pick and choose activities. If you make a choice not to take advantage of the school's offerings, you need to find some other form of recreation for the child as well.

Not unless they are taking a school funded home schooling like TRECCA- I think that if parents want them to participate in activities then they should be going to school everyday and being a part of their "in-house" programs!

they have every right to
just because they aren't taught by those proffesional teachers but if you teach them the right of course they could and should
