I just saw on the yahoo news that the foremost scientific minds have moved us in effect '5 minutes' closer to armageddon... which in effect means that we are closer than ever with only 5 minutes remaining.

(The 5 minutes is basically a chart based on the movement of a clock ((the last 5 minute move was 40 years ago))

I agree with Mike. Why do the ramblings of one pig-faced imbecile stir the nation, but the cataclysmic decline of the human race goes unnoticed.

I can't believe that nanook described the BB house as "what is happening in the world NOW". That's your answer right there, Mike. It's attitudes like this that make me wonder whether we deserve to exist at all.

Because today is the day that the stupid people took over the world.
soldiers in Afghanistan yesterday performed a feat of incredible heroics to recover the body of a dead comrade. 60 students where killed in yet another bomb explosion going to university in Baghdad.
What are newspapers and TV full of?
the vacuous discussing the ignorant and imbecilic goings on in a moronic TV programme.
Riots on the streets of Mumbi, questions in Parliament, the PM and Chancellor being grilled.

The lunatics have taken over the asylum, I think we are a lot closer to the end of civilisation than the clock says, only it wont be Armageddon, the human race will be lobotomised by Big Brother.

It's shocking isn't it? I heard about the 'closer to armageddon' thing from the radio as I was driving along and tears came into my eyes. It is awful what we do to our beautiful planet, and as a reply above me said, not enough people care.

I never watch CBB or BB but its been in the paper so I know what you are talking about. It seems to me to be ridiculous to throw a lot of wannabe celebs and real celebs into a house. Of course they do it so that there WILL be strife. If all of them got along, there would be nothing for people to watch.

I don't know what to make of the whole thing..... if we all tried to do a little bit more things might improve - recycling, etc. To be honest, it's a scary world to bring babies into.

although BB may be a load of utter tv rubbish it shows human nature and who these ppl really are that some hold so high cos they are celebs.

saying that, each and every one of us at sometime have felt uncomfortable in a situation and have been targeted with abuse and been singled out on a witch hunt. i think for that reason ppl who are watching this situation with Shipla understand how she is feeling in this situation, i for one watched parts of it and i was utterly disgusted how Jade has behaved towards her. Jades success is not from having a brain and knowing how to use it, she is just a marketing ploy.

This is closer to our hearts than all the horrors going on in the world right now, because we have personally felt it

Oh, and not to forget, its good for the ratings and sells papers.

I am proud to say that I have never watched that load of crap!

It really rags me when it spills over into the general media, because none of it is news-worthy.

It's about time we started getting some quality television instead of all this un-reality rubbish.

What the hell is real about packing a load of idiots into a prefabricated building anyway. If we wanted to watch something like this all we need to do is turn on Parliament Today!

Watching the reaction to the show, I wouldn't be surprised if those three girls' personal clocks are ticking even faster. I'm a bit worried, to be truthful.
And yes, I agree with you, with all the nations jumping on the super weapon bandwagon, it is frightening.

they actually only moved it by 2 minutes making it 5 to 12.....but dont worry about it, what could possibly go wrong? Dubya isnt an idiot....erm is he? He wouldnt involve us in some kind of nuclear conflict where we go toe to toe with religious zealots who dont worry about martyring themselves en masse...erm would he?

oh fuk we gonna die

ps maybe if we give them the real Jade Goody to burn they might let us off

...And the next five minute move will be in another 40 years and I am not planning on being around that long.

Because it helps us forget about wider issues people feel they have no control over. Slagging off scangers and knackers like Jade makes us feel more important and intelligent, but lets face it, she makes it easy for us.

They are two sides of the same coin.

It is meaningless distractions like this that have caused our world to be in this mess.
