all you have is your faith and a book that all experts say evolved over many centuries and have had books added to or deleted as the church sees fit. Where is the proof?

Buddy the question has been asked but yet Christians never answer. Should we stop seeking an answer because someone has already tried? Intellectual Curiosity is not the hallmark of religion is it?

34 answers and the last time i saw this many christian dance was at the cathedral high school prom circa 1983. we now books of the bible have been removed, we know stories have been added or altered to make them more powerful to message. We know this because there is proof. Everything elde stated so far has been at best a beliefe in an iconic figure of an ideal. Most of you will even tell me jesus was a white man with a skinny nose and long straight hair even though we haveproof that someone from the area circa year 0 would be at least Very dark complected. I don't fault you for believing in God, hell I really want. I do fault you for chasing I beliefe that is not based in fact. Jesus, if he even existed, was the son or God just as you or I am. If you base a beliefe on the altered writings of several men who were in essense his groupies, understand that it is just that. as for miracles, have you seen Mindfreak? if miracles make a religious icon......jesus has come back.

PSHAW! It's in the bible! Don't get me wrong, I'm not a Christian, but this question is based on bad logic. You ask for proof that you know can't be provided here. Can you hold up proof of evolution on Yahoo! Answers, other than to point to some website that has "written proof"? What's the difference between one's written proof and another's?

Dear me! put a football shirt on some gobshite and you have 45000 idiots adulating him a an idol. Yet you struggle to believe in the rather short life and ministry of our Master. What a misguided nation of lost souls you are! Take a walk in the countryside and look around you? There can be no design without a designer. The world is perfect but for the ignorance, destruction and blind scepticism of mankind. HENCE WE WERE SENT A MESSENGER...who depite giving His life is still doubted by so many. Close your TV screens and open your hearts ! You will not receive any healing from Beckham or Ferdinand!

In some cases, proof is not in seeing, but in believing. Proof is feeling the wonderful sweet spirit of Jesus and the holy spirit. It's not about physical things. It is about the spirituality. You can't see anything that is spiritual so how can you prove what you can not physically believe. You just have to trust with your heart and believe that what you do read is God's word.

I realize that so many people say that the word as evolved over the centuries, but God will not hold you accountable for that. He will hold you accountable for not accepting his son as your Savior. Sure God wants you to follow his way, but trusting Christ is the most important thing. And trust is believing in someone or something, even if it is of a spiritual nature.

Many people don't require a proof to believe something. Faith without proof does the trick for them. That's fine. What annoys me is when some of them claim that what they believe is the truth, facts that those who believe differently just somehow can't see because they're blind. Believing without proof is fine, but at least call it beliefs rather than facts and the truth, until you have proof to back your claims up.

This is an oxymoron. The human species is really weird this way. On the one hand we have this infinite capacity for curiosity and discovery. To achieve any meaningful results we need to prove things. In the same breath we are displaying also an infinite capacity for the opposite. We believe unbelievable things. ghosts "paranormal(euphemism) senses, ghosts, gods, astrology voodoo fairies witches devils...you name it we believe it. We have even contrived semantic tricks to justify the contradiction. Belief does not require proof. That's the whole point.

Check out the science around what is written in the Bible, a lot of what was written about in the Bible, scientists have found to be true, Historians are also conceeding more and more that what was written is truth, also for those how know HIM, we dont need proof, we have belief.

Dude.

Not everything needs scientific proof. Jesus is the son of god in spirit, not in blood and chromosomes. The bible is interpretations and stories based on stories. The only place you are going to find proof is within yourself.

Maybe you should take up yoga and meditation. Explore the deeper side of yourself rather then ask silly questions.

You need proofs?

John 1:14
"And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth"

John 5:26
"For just as the Father has life in Himself, even so He gave to the Son also to have life in Himself"

John 6:51
"I am the living bread that came down out of heaven; if anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread also which I will give for the life of the world is My flesh."

John 8:23
And He was saying to them, "You are from below, I am from above; you are of this world, I am not of this world."

John 8:38
"I speak the things which I have seen with [My] Father; therefore you also do the things which you heard from [your] father."

John 8:42
Jesus told them, "If God were your Father, you would love me. After all, I'm here, and I came from God. I didn't come on my own. Instead, God sent me"

John 10:30
"I and the Father are one."

John 10:36
"why do you say that I'm dishonoring God because I said, 'I'm the Son of God'? God set me apart for this holy purpose and has sent me into the world."

John 13:13
"You call Me Teacher and Lord; and you are right, for [so] I am"

John 14:9
"He who has seen Me has seen the Father"

John 14:10
"Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on My own initiative, but the Father abiding in Me does His works."

John 17:22
"The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one".

John 20:31
"But these miracles have been written so that you will believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and so that you will have life by believing in him".

now you're free to believe or not...

Prove to me I don't have the head of Jesus Christ the god of creation in the brown paper bag I'm holding ...No there is no sense to proofs of the imagination.Anyone can claim anything and hide behind faith but they can't produce and that's what really matters.

the proof is existence and your state of mind; think of no existence and i know it's hard to believe especially when it looks just blended with other religions and nobody cares. just do some research and well if you must argue your way through to find what you can trust
