they are both founded in a faith that their is a higher power.
require the giving of time and money.
make you believe you are special.
make you believe you are better than other because of that faith
promise eternal life to the believers
they sound similar to me.
If anyone can prove to me the existance of god please do so. Other than that I will continue to believe Jesus lead the most successful cult in history and followers are either brainwashed or mentally deficient.

Buddy your conclusion is flawed. Scientoligy is very much considered a cult but their bankroll is well in excess of say the menonites.

I don't think it's popularity, so much as money. Most of the big religions have big bankrolls. Historically, some of them even ran the banks! Compared to the world religions, how much money do the so-called cults have? If one of them had the money that a church does, they'd suddenly no longer be a cult!

As a Christian, I would say that they are both, one and the same !!!
Cults teach and expound "religion"; whereas, Christianity expounds a relationship with their Creator [Jesus], via spirituality, through GRACE .
