Wash the rice til the water's clear. Then pour in water. The rice should be more or less level in the pot, put in a finger on top of rice (not from base of pot) and water level should be about 3/4 of the first line from tip of finger. (This is for approx 5 cups of rice. For more rice the water level should be 1/4 - 1/2 above the first line) Wipe the sides of the pot dry before putting into the cooker.
p/s If the rice comes out too soft then lessen the water level a lil or if rice is too hard increase the water level by a lil the next time,

Are there instructions with it? If so try to make a smal batch
use riceland rice, I love the taste of the rice. Look on the packages of rice to see what to use some will say stovetop, microwave or ricecooker. My favorite is white rice with butter and brown sugar or white sugar on the top with a little milk. I eat that for breakfast or a snack before dinner.

The ricecooker would have come with a measuring cup.

For each cup of rice you need to add two cups of water and set the ricecooker to cook. the rice will be cooked with no further attention.

Didn't it come with instructions? They really are the best way to cook rice, once you get it down it's the easiest way. If you don't have the instructions, get in touch with the manufacturer and I'm sure they will send you another set of instructions. Each model is different.

Didn't it come with instructions? It should be easy. Generally you put in water and rice and press a button. The only question is about the proportions.

Did it come with directions? Usually they have a cup for the water and levels inside the pot. You just measure water and rice and then plug the thing in and it does the work.

measure up how many cups of rice you'll be making, and put in 1 3/4th times the amount of water. for example: if you're making 1.5 cups of rice, you put in 3 cups of water.
and then just put the switch on
