WHEN I READ IT IT MAKES ME KNOW THAT EVEN THOUGH I BELIEVE IN HIM,GOD KNOWS MY TRIAL AND TRIBULTIONS. HE KNOWS HOW MUCH I CAN BEAR, AND WHAT IS TO HARD FOR ME TO DEAL WITH. THAT HE IS GOING TO LET ME GO THROUGH SOME THINGS FOR A REASON. MAYBE TO TEACH ME A LESSON, TO GET MY ATTENTION, TO LET OTHERS SEE HIS WORK THROUGH MY LIFE. I BELIEVE THAT HE REALLY DOES KNOW HOW MUCH ME CAN TAKE. MAYBE I TOOK THE PLACE FOR SOMEONE ELSE, BECAUSE HE KNEW THAT IT MIGHT HAVE KILLED SOMEONE ELSE, IF FOR A MINUTE SOMEONE WENT THROUGH THE SAME THING. I KNOW THAT HE DIPS ME IN THE FURNACE A LOT, SO THAT I MIGHT COME OUT AS PURE AS GOLD. TO BE YE HOLY , FOR I AM HOLY. I AM A WILLING VESSEL, NOT FOR A MINTUE DO I REGRET BEING A CHRISTIAN. HE HAS BEEN AND WILL ALWAYS BE MY EVERYTHING. I LOVE GOD!!!!!

I feel it's wonderful that you love the Lord and wanted to share verses 40:28-31 and 41:9-10 from the book of Isaiah with your Christian YA community.
The best way to live by these words is to believe its true meaning with your whole heart and sole. If you believe it and can testify how it change your life then it will be easy for you to share to others and maybe, they in turn will want to change their lives.
Hope this help and GOD bless.

To me, Isaiah 40:28-31 and 41:9-10 is telling young men and women to explore every beautiful aspect of the world. Explore your own sadness, angst, joy. Learn art, history, philosophy, music, literature, etc... All gifts from God that will make us stronger. That God does not only speak through the Bible but through all of His creation. And it is always there for us.

By all means, go and see for yourself what is being presented. Realize that the people you will be listening to already are aware of the things you have been told and will be showing you a palatable version---in other words, they may say things in a way that will seem less offensive and more easy to accept. Some of the things you have heard no doubt have been somewhat exaggerated---usually, the truth lies between two extremes. You need to use your head and examine NOT ONLY what you are told at the meetings, but also what is done in practice. For example, you have been told that the catholics worship the pope. They will, naturally, tell you that nothing could be further from the truth, that they merely reverence him. Okay, now---realizing that a rose by another name would still be a rose, you will find pictures of groups of men who are entering the priesthood literally bowing on the floor before the pope---so how do YOU define worship? They will tell you that they do not worship Mary, but that they merely venerate her---couple what they tell you with the fact that they pray to Mary, burn candles before her statues, and that historically, many shrines that were temples of pagan goddesses were renamed as shrines to Mary. Do your homework and make your own decisions as to what you consider to be crossing the line from mere respect for Mary to rank Mariolotry. I'm only working on the couple of examples you gave---and I'm not saying any of this to disrespect Catholics---I'm merely telling you to do your homework and make your own decisions. Catholics used to be forbidden to read the Bible for themselves---now they are told that it takes expert advice to properly interpret the scriptures--this may have to do with the way the teachings of the Bible square with Catholic practices and traditions---again, do you homework, think for yourself, and see what you think when all the evidence is in. Don't JUST go by the things you hear at this class. I suggest you look into the history---see how the doctrine of the Trinity was developed over time--and compare that teaching to the paganistic deities in vogue in Rome as well as Plato's philosophies at the time. Read about the history of the "Holy Inquisition"--how it was conducted, and what it was all about. And don't let ANYBODY TELL YOU that it wasn't Catholic or that it only had to do with government mandates apart from the church. It was as Catholic as the day is long. Study the Crusades. Learn about indugences, the wearing of scapularies, and the belief in "transubstantiation". ALL of this material is readily available for the asking and can be had by anyone---not a shred of it is hidden---type a few of these words into Google, even, and you should find a wealth of material. Have fun!

I love these verses. I believe it speaks to the person who is tired and ready to throw in the towel. One who is emotionally, spiritually, and physically drained. That person is being told to not quit. That a resurgance of strength and a wave of vision and purpose is going to be supplied if they don't give up. We are reminded several times in the Bible that when we are at our weakest, God is near and we are able to minister even stronger.
