flight attendants receive their monthly roster schedule at the end of every month. they have different types of schedule, either they are flying short haul flights, single to double sectors, medium to long haul flights and sometimes they are just on standby for 12hours. flight attendants are disciplined individuals who can be flexible to any working hours be it early morning when the whole world is still sleeping or late at night when people are about to rest. for as long as they they do not exceed 100 hours flying time a month as regulated by IATA and has enough rest before her/his duty flight then she can always be on call.

Because airline operate 365 days a year and around the clock, flight attendants must be flexible, reliable, and willing to relocate and may work nights, weekends, and holidays. Scheduled on-duty time usually is limited to 12 hours per day, some contracts provide daily actual maximums of 14 hours, with somewhat greater maximums for international flying. Flight attendants usually fly 65 to 90 hours a month and, spend about 50 hours a month on the ground preparing planes for flights, writing reports following completed flights, and waiting for planes to arrive. They may be away from their home base at least one-third of the time.
