Well I'm a sophomore in highschool and he's a junior. I've known him since I was really little but he has this problem where he always either flat out lies about stuff or overexaggerates. But he doesnt lie about big issues he only lies about things dealing with money. LIke he will say he bought this and this for some much when I know he didnt. It's like he thinks I need him to be rich in order to be his friend...like both our families are well off and I just don't understand why he lies like he does!? Am I wrong to like him because he's a pathological liar?

You might like him, just don't trust him, totally.

Maybe he's compensating for low self esteem. Maybe his parents are pushing him too hard, so he uses money and status to make himself feel good.

Anyway, good luck.

I've got a buddy who's a pathological liar. He lies about crap that I don't really even care about. Anywho, now he's got a wife and kid, and while I want to call and see how he and his family are doing, I don't really want to hear his crap. Best to leave those kinds of people alone, it's not worth your effort.

he must be undergoing a culture shock or trying t fit in a certain clique.
Am on his side on one issue.I dont really feel comfortable telling people the price I bought my stuff.I would rather tell you the shop so that you can go and find out on your own.
