Lord krishna says in mahabharatha that arjuna should fought the war , he should kill to the people . it is the best duty of arjuna

but what my mind says that peace through noviolance should be the best duty

please justify your answer which should be followed and why. is Geeta is wrong or i am thinking wrongly

First of all, its a great and very important question.Well, I understand where things contradict for you. Neither you or Bhagvad Gita is wrong. According to the examples given:
Both the stand are correct if they are seen individually but they contradict putting together.
Its conflicting because you compare the instance of a battlefield with a common life.
If you see closely they ultimately mean one and the same thing because doing your duties is itself a part of karma. As a warrior, arjun's duty was to fight for the right.This was his karma and darma.
