The ranks both officer & enlisted have different titles in each of the branches of the service.

For instance in the US Navy, there are several levels of Admiral at the top, followed by Captain, Commander, Lt Commander, Lieutenant, LT jg, Ensign

Top enlisted rank is actually called Warrant Officer (they're considered officers) then Master CPO, Sr CPO, Chief PO, 1st Class PO, 2nd Class PO, 3rd Class PO, Seaman, Seaman Apprentice, Seaman Recruit (or Airman,Fireman, depending on rating field)

I won't do all the other services...tho I could, as it would require too much space. Check out the website for any of the other branches of service.
