If there were only one BEST then everyone would be buying it no? There is no best only compromises.
I bought a Panasonic 42" plasma! It has great reviews and the price was very much within my budget.

Iam a TV service center and sales center.
From my experience, the Pioneer Elite , Sonys XBR and Wegas, Toshibas Plasmas are alot better in picture than the Panasonic.
