Yes, I've read both.

I believe the Bible to be the Word of God.

I believe the Qu'ran the writings of a man named Muhammad and not inspired by God.

Read the bible, started on the qu'ran but found them similar in their irrelevance. If anything, the Qu'ran was a bit more logical

Have read the Christian Bible and am working my way through the Koran.
The current versions of the Christian bible in the O.T. is the story of the Jewish race after the CREATION of ADAM and EVE(the first of the Israelites as they met other tribes outside of the Garden after they were exiled. So therefore could not have been the first created humans on the earth.)and the line of Abraham.
There is too much passage of time missing from the Creation of the Physical Universe until then. If there were giant beasts on the earth in between then and world floods. who was able to witnesses this events and pass them down through oral means.Until an alphabet and a means of writing were invented? The N.T. is continuation and fulfillment of the O.T. . Somethings will not come to pass until the Jewish people accept that Jesus "the Christ" was the real appointed Messiah.
The Qu'uran written by a good finger pointer. But not a prophet.

I've read all the major books of religion.
And the one thing I notice is that they tell people to live by principles - and those principles are usually very much a like.
Help others, give freely, dont lie or cheat. Dont be overly proud of your accomplishments, be grateful for what you have - it could always be worse. Work hard, but know when to rest, etc.

I did also for all religion books I could found,
To be so close to these books,it will be better ,much better
to read them in their original languages, which is not easy.
Or to know basics, properties of samitic languages
Or to read as much studies as possible,

regardless what followers say,
Any one can read both, can see some contradictions in The Old
Testament, while The New Testament just contains narration of messangers of Jesus,it seems as muslims do in Hadith

In the old testament,
-you couldn't find any mention to paradise, just get more
food,breed,get vectory,etc
for obeyers hell, for those who make sins, just a
punishment in this life,diseases,famine,war,capture,,etc
-you see that the God is only for Jews,it seems to be a private
God .
In the New Testament-as in Quran-,it is clear that the God is for
all humanity.
The mercy, kindness, tenderness are obvious in it,
In Quran the matter is totally different as below:-
-historical discribtion of Islam.
-missunderstanding of Islam by Muslims & Non muslims
-The languistic side of ( translating& reading Quran)
(either by muslims or/ and non_muslims).
-case of humilation of muslims, since one century by westren

otherwise Quran is more tough with his followers, than all people
think!!!
because that they read Quran in its origin language, with all of its
properties that they know very well.
-In Quran ,No adventage for Muslims ,if they do bad deeds.
-In Quran ,it is mentioned and focused on, in so many places
that any person is FREE to obey any religion.

all in all,Quran -as I see-has not been read carefully by most of
the intrested persons(with/against);some of them knows ,some
not.
For that he who wants to find the TRUTH,he can search hardly
and sure he will find a brilliant phrases, expressions, evidences
of the upnormal source of them.

I've not read the entire Bible from front to back but I can tell you it is the word of God written through the Holy Spirit. It's teachings on morals is right on perfect. Since I am Catholic I turn to the Church's teachings on the Bible for instruction. The Gospels - Matthew Mark Luke and John are so very important to our faith because of Jesus our Lord. God Bless!

We just got a big enough dose from Chang to last awhile, thanks.

My personal thought are, the Bible has been misinterpreted and rewritten too many times. The Koran -er, Qu'ran- has been just misinterpreted by too many people. They'd both be good books if people hadn't messed them up.
