SBI launched it recently and certainly a Public Sector Bank but HDFC is an old one and providing good service and offers time to time. Now decide.

Hi
I hope basically you would be knowing the key difference b/w these two banks one is nationalised and other being private.( i myself hold a HDFC credit card and rarely use it)
Nationalized banks primary objective is to serve people whereas private banks would be looking to increase their profit level.
SBI credit card facility and their operation would be transparent wheras private banks do not openly tell the hidden charges until you find them in your bill. Also you wont mind of other charges since it will be usually in order of 10 or 20 rs which over a period of time will end up as huge amount.
Usually the representaive( whichever you choose) ,who explains about the plan doesnot gives you the complete picture.therefore its completely your responsiblity to enquire him about the plan.
Finally one kind advice use your card only at emergency whenever you can afford cash go a head, dont get attracted by the offers given by the card providers .

First positive answer: You can depend on HDFC whose service is relatively good. I have one and use it very judiciously so that I do not burn my fingers by my own lapse at any point of time.
Not so positive answer: SBI' s customer service is horribly bad and I personally experienced for one full year - unnecessary correspondence, tension and loss of money though small. I have documentary proof for their slip short practices. Now I do not have SBI credit card thank god.
