I am nearly a lifetime diagnosed Schizophrenia Paranoid (DDD) outpatient who is no longer ashamed of his condition. DDD means Dopamine Dysfunction Disorder and is a label suggested by a committee of British psychiatrists to replace the schizophrenia label for those with hallucinations. The former label serves mainly to "cancel the life" of those to whom it is applied.

I have had both "auditory" and visual hallucinations but no longer do. I was able to work in my profession for over 15 years and attend 2 Universities to keep up on my work. I am an old man now but happy, healthy and committed to helping others with my diagnosis live a better and if possible normal life. I am still on neuroleptic medications.

You can e-mail me via this forum and I will be glad to answer your questions via return e-mail if you so desire. Please tell me if you are a psych major.

put an ad in the paper? are you a psych student? you should be able to find contacts through your school if yes. if no, you're just disrupting people lives. Enrol in a psych course if you want to know more about the condition and effects.
