YES. And it is also true that you will not go to heaven if you are not cremated..

In the Bible cremation is portrayed only as an exceptional method of disposing of bodies. Most often cremation took place in the midst of unusual circumstances. For example, in 1 Samuel 31:12 we read about the men of Jabesh-Gilead who burned the corpses of Saul and his sons in order to prevent desecration of their bodies at the hands of the philistines.
We don't find cremation mentioned in the New Testament. Burial is the normal method. Moreover, the church fathers preferred "the ancient and better custom of burying in the earth."
However, there is no actual prohibition against cremation in the pages of Scripture. And if a Christian does get cremated, this poses no problem for God in resurrecting that person's body from the dead (1Cor 15:42-44).
We read in 2 Cor 5:1, "Now we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands." It does not matter how our "earthly tent" (body) is destroyed; all that matters is that God will raise it from the dead. Even those who are buiried eventually dissolve into dust and bones. So regardless of whether we're buried or cremated, we can all look forward to a permanent resurrection body that will never be subject to death and decay.

No. The body is material, temporary, and useless after death. The soul is not material, not temporary, and has no use for the body. In some cultures, it is believed to be essential to cremate the body, because people are so attached to their bodies, they are hesitant to abandon it, even when it is no longer suitable. The disembodied soul thinks it can re-inhabit the body, and tries to stay near the body. Cremating the body destroys any hope of returning to it, and the soul then accepts this and moves on.

No its not true. When you die you shed your earth suit. The word HUMAN referes to Humus man All humus decays rots and becomes fertilizer for soil Man is the soul part of the human and thus th humus part will die but the soul is the part that is judged. Biblically if the spirit is not renewed by God and god is not part of it it will be destroyed. The only way that can happen is to invite God into the spirit. THe spirit then inherits the very nature of God which is love joy peace kindness goodness faithfulness longsuffering, etc. Those are known as the fruit of the spirit and are 9 fold. Being born again means allowing God to penetrate your spirit by inviting him into your life. We area all born with the freedom to choose God or not. Its all up to you. Oh and thats the only freedom you have on earth by the way CHOICE. How the body is disposed of is immaterial to God. All God cares about is that each of us know how much he loves us and wanting to form a relationship with each person. THe world add all the legalisms to God and make him out to be horrific and nasty when all he is is a God of love, the most brilliant scientist of all times and far bigger than humans even percieve him. Humans are pretty small minded.

No, who in the hell told you that. Heaven and hell are spirtual planes of existence, where the soul of a person can live without the body. While you're on Earth you need the body, but this is just a shell, and once you are dead, you no longer need this shell. So your family can do what ever they want with this shell.

NO, NO...........

God says in the final revelation Qur' an

3:109 And to Allah belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth. And all matters go back (for decision) to Allah.

Whatever exists in the heavens and on the earth belongs to God, and to Him do all affairs revert and return. (42:53)

"We did not create as a game the heavens and the earth and all they contain; We created them in justice and in accordance with wisdom, but most men know not" (44:38-39).

"Of a certainty, God will gather all His creatures on the day of resurrection, all His deeds are inspired by knowledge and wisdom" (15:25).

"Your ending will be with God Almighty" (53:42).

"He is God Whose might and power are supreme over His servants. He sends angels as guards to watch over you, so that when the time for the death of one among you arrives Our messengers drive him forth. They show no lassitude in taking your soul. Then you will return to the Lord of the Universe Who is in reality the master of His servants. Be aware that judgement over mankind belongs to God, and He is swifter than anyone in calling to account" (6:61-62).

"The unbelievers say: `Is this not a strange thing that we should be brought back after dying and turning to dust? Such a return is impossible.' But We are fully aware of what the earth takes from them, and it is We Who possess the Preserved Tablet" (50:2-4).

"(O Messenger,) say: `God Who first brought them to life will restore them to life. He has knowledge of all His creation.' ... Is the Creator Who brought into being the heavens and the earth incapable of creating the like thereof? Certainly He is the Creator and All-Knowing" (36:79, 81).

"Does man imagine that We are not capable of reassembling his decayed bones? We are able even to restore his fingers to their previous state" (75:34).

"When Ibrahim (Abraham) said: `O God, show me how you bring the dead back to life, ` God responded, `Do you not believe?' He said, `I do, but I wish my heart to be reassured.' So God said, `Choose four types of birds, and mix their flesh together, and place portions on the top of mountains. Then summon the birds, and they will come hastening to you. You will then know that God is empowered over all things and is aware of the truth of all things." (2:260).

where does it say that in the bible? It sounds absurd, what if you can only afford cremation and don't have 10,000 for a regular funeral.
