I had to go through a private lender in order to pay for my school, because my college wasn't authorized for federally subsidized loans. Those, of course, are your best option - just fill out a FAFSA and talk to your school's financial aid office. The loan I got is called "Tuition Options" from Navy Federal Credit Union (although it is financed from a different company, so I am not sure if membership is required to be eligible) - the interest rate was low, and payments were deferred until 6 months after I graduated.

Always best to get government subsidized stafford loans first. Fill out your FAFSA first and see what they offer you. If you still need more then a private student loan is your best option. Check out http://www.thinkfinancial.com
They offer competitive interest rates to other private loans, and they have a grace period so that you don't start paying back your loan until 6 months after you graduate. Good Luck.
