also my piercing doesnt seem to be "draining" i have been doing the sea salt soaks and everything (piercing aftercare solution that i bought at the pierce hop i use that twice a day and do a sea salt soak with warm water for 15 minutes once a day)

im afraid the dried blood is preventing the lymph (discharge) from coming out as it normally would i dont have the usual "crusties" that come wiht new piercings.. just dried blood. shoudl i be worried at all/???...its only 2 days old though...

and no i dont use neosporin, antibacterial spary or rubbing alcohol, anything of that nature.. thos are good for wounds liek if you fall down. but are absolutely terrible for piercings. they dry out, irritate the piercing, kill the good bacterias and tissues causing more scarring and can give you an infection.... any piercer would tell you that.. the only things you are suposed to use on a piercing is a antibacterial soap (mild one) after care piercer solution and the wonderful sea salt soaks!

Its pretty normal for scabbing and bleeding to be persistent for the first 2-5 days of a piercing. Just keep the area as clean as you can and keep an eye out for any problems to arise.

If its itchy, keep some salt soak solution in a clean bottle and some q-tips with you in a clean container and wipe the area gentle if its starts to bug you. If you choose to do that, I suggest not wiping the area more than 3 times per day and then still clean it twice daily (morning and night)

Its been two days, try to keep in mind that patience and good cleaning is key for piercings. Good luck.

When I got my rook pierced they recommended using a Qtip soaked in bactine twice a day for two months. I did the salt water soaks also with sea salt...but I soaked a cotton ball and put it right over the entire piercing for five minutes at a time one or two times a day.

Mine bled a lot initially and a little blood was on the q-tip or cotton ball for a week or two. I also recommend, once the bleeding and such stops in a week or so, to roll the earring through the hole a couple times a day.

Mine hasn't been hurting for about a month and I got it done November 1st ish.

I got my cartilage pierced a few years ago and it hurt for months! They should have given you some stuff to put on it where you got it pierced if not go to like Clair's or The Icing at the mall and get something to help with the healing and cleaning process. Good Luck

Try using polysporin and washing the area in the shower to loosen the scab.
