The body and mind work together in very strange ways. We still don't have a very good understanding of this and modern science continues to do studies about these interactions. The only thing you can be sure of is that the two extreme camps are both wrong.
1) Your state of physical health alone will not determine your survival.
2) Your mind alone can't determine your survival.

When they test new drugs for effectiveness they are required to use two samples of people. One that gets the drug and one that is told they got the drug but in fact gets a fake pill (sugar pill) instead. The group that gets the fake pill ussually feels some effect and this is atributed to the fact hat thier minds think they should get an effect. This is called the placebo effect. If the drug is effective the group who took the drug should have even greater results than the ones who took the sugar pill.

This christian questioner may live or de due to the poison but he should rest well knowing that studies show that your mental attitude towards health can greatly effect your health.

That an Atheist could be saved by their own faith or "will to live", is an equal possibility.

A will to live or "faith in surviving" the poisoning may make a difference between life and death....but I don't think it's a privilege for Christians only.

If You really have a Strong Faith Of Course Yes!!
But if You don't Have this Strong Faith it is more appropriate you went and see a Doctor!! ;-)

Not every body could have such Strong Faith But Blessed Be the One who really Rely on God Completely!
But we should try to aim such Faith..

God can do anything. However, He also gives us the means here on earth to cope with such things - if you break your leg, going to a doctor is not lack of faith, it's simply getting the help God already provided.

No. Whether you survived or not would depend on what poison you had taken, and how much, whether you got to hospital in time, and whether they could do anything.
