I am on Warfarin for life so I can't take HRT. I had a hysterectomy in 2001 and have suffered hot sweats and flushes ever since.

You can take Soya or Red Clover. The molecules mimic (almost) oestrogen molecules. It's the lowering of oestrogen that causes these unpleasant symptoms, so fooling your body that the levels are higher than they actually are reduces the hot flushes and night sweats. This also avoids the increased risks of other things that goes with HRT. Hope this helps, it works for me!

HRT, isn't that brilliant anyway, it merely delays or lessens the effects of the menopause. I would strongly recommend a visit to a qualified Herbalist, as the symptoms of menopause need gentle and holistic therapy.

What are hot flushes? Are they the same as hot flashes?
