After the age of 18 you wouldn't have to be paying child support anyway, unless you were in arrears. You could have a paternity test done, but don't you think 18 years is a little late? Regardless, if you got the test done and it turns out the child wasn't yours, the mother would have to reimburse you for the support paid I would think. I guess rules vary state to state though.

Not all child support stops at 18 if the child goes to college some people are required to pay until they finish their college. If you were concerned why wait until 18 to get the DNA test?
