video clips?

Question

i have just download my video clips onto my PC using the firewire, now I want to edit it (make affect and stuff like that) , but the problem is now i Can't burn it to a DVD, i think it's because the file type problem, which type should i convert my video clips file so i can burn them to a dvd disc? any idea? MPeg4 or sumtin lik that?

is there another type not DVD? anything that i can burn...using a DVD or CD to make a VCD

i use window media to add effects....then use "superAVconverter" to convert them to necessary forms...(the problem is which one should i convert into?)

wat kind of file type that can burn to a DVD....from the PC...beside MPEG 2

Your editing program (you don't say which one you are using) should convert you video so as it can be written to DVD. It does seem to me from reading your question that you might be trying to burn the DVD before doing the editing. That seems unnecessary, and could well cause problems.
