If they are just numbing you with no sedation or nitrous oxide, grab a bite on your way to the office. Unless you are EXTREMELY upset and nervous about the procedure, there would not be any risk of nausea or vomitting. You may as well eat before the procedure so you won't get hungry an hour later when you would be better off biting on gauze instead of eating.

You can get sick and vomit all over the place. I know becasue I work in two dental offices I am a dental assistant. Usuallly with laughing gas you get sick. If you are not getting put to sleep or having gas I would say an hour before becasue you will not be able to eat afterwards..

You cannot eat before surgery so you don't vomit and choke to death on it. I would not eat before having my teeth out because you may lose some blood that will go to your stomach and if you have food in it, it could make you nauseated and vomit.

Because your not getting a general anaesthetic. No need to be concerned with the whole body if your only numbing one localized area.

I had all my know-how enamel out. The day i have been given both excellent ones out i had breakfast and lunch previously. I save in recommendations i had a salmon and cream cheese sandwich (lengthy tale). because i went instantly from artwork, i drank lots of water and chewed gum previously i have been given there.

If they have to put you in a twilight, you may vomit during surgery, you could aspirate the vomit into your lungs.
