You don't think the man knows he's doing wrong? Of course he does. What he needs is anger management to gain the tools necessary to control himself. Or church counseling, or jail, or...well, you get the idea.

Yes, it is part of the churches duty to teach what is morally right and wrong and to teach this to their members. If a member of a church is beating his wife and children and that church teaches that this is wrong, then some official has the duty to inform that man that what he is doing is morally wrong and to tell him to stop it.
If you read the letters of Paul in the New Testament you will see that Paul, himself, confronted church members when they were doing things that were against the Laws of God.

No. This is simply not possible. People go to church for spiritual guidance and to find feelowship with a moral base. Churches can be active in the community, offer help to victims of abuse, but how can they possible go around teaching right from wrong?

I believe people should think for themselves and read the Bible for themselves and if a man is beating his wife and daughters definitely someone or somebody from an organization should tell him it is wrong but if his religion permits this behavior it probably won't do any good. Someone needs the educate the women to leave when being treated badly.

I think that ones parents should have taught thier child right from wrong to begin with but yes I believe a church that doesn't preach against sin is not in the will of God.

Oh no. That would be invading peoples privacy. I don't people would take too kindly to that idea. Remember too that people have different religions, or non at all so it wouldn't be right to go imposing on people. There are laws to protect people, and relevant organisations for support should people require it, without involving the church.
