The question is baised on the fact that (1) the one that provide assistance feels as if s/he have a ownership wright to the other partner. (2) the one that recieve assistance tend to have negative attitude if the other partner does not act according to his/her expectation, just because s/he feels the other partner has done wrong with the knowledge that is the one who assist.

Ok - there's support and there is financial support...this will impact your relationship - I guarantee it.

I have been very very lucky in my life to live comfortably from a financial standpoint. My sweetheart has had some hard luck in that respect. You to be extremely sensitive to the fact that it will change things, in some cases a lot. You have to support the person in need yet be realisitic - set goals and help them get there and be encouraging when they meet those goals. This can be a deal breaker- especially if you have different views on money management.
