There is always a reason to get angry. However a person could be aggressive or just angry and hateful as part of their personality type. What triggers the behavior is the question, hurt feelings, jealousy, being bullied, feeling someone attacked them personally. Perceiving someone did something to you does not mean that they know they triggered a response, nor does it mean that they would know that the other person was bothered by this non-existent behavior.

You do not really give enough information on what happened or seemed to spark the behavior. Maybe you did not clean the dust bunnies under the bed and that was what triggered the behavior, in which case that it was only an excuse to lash out at you but probably not the cause for the anger.

I would suspect physiological issues, which also cause most Alcoholic behavior as well. Could be the person had a bad day at work and you were the person he/she could take it out on.

Could be the person got drunk and they are an angry drunk? Did they even drink?

Too many variables to give you a good answer. Maybe counseling would be a good way to get the answer.

You will need to give far more information to get a good answer from anyone.

So by asking this question, are you saying that you drink? Or that the person who is getting angry drinks?

If the answer is yes, then do a little test. Stop drinking for one month. If you continue to get angry after 20 days of no drinking then there may be other issues.

If after 20 days of not drinking and you do not continue to get angry then yes, it could be related to drinking.

If you can't stop drinking for 20 days, then yes alcoholism is a problem for the person drinking and those around them. And yes getting angry for no reason is more than likely related to it.

If after 30 days you have not drank any alcohol and you still get mad, seek some professional help so you can find the root cause of your anger.

Too many people drink to hide feelings, bad times, and things they should only deal with sober. Being sober for the bad things and dealing with them may hurt like hell, but in the long run you will be better for it.

Whatever happens, good luck.
