If you define religion as something you do every day, religiously...then yes, for millions and millions of people *Oprah* is a religion.
She's allright...I dont watch her, she's a little -everywhere- with the show, the magazine, the tv channel...the US is a bit saturated with her. But...she does good with the programs and things she's created, the Angel Network, doing good for others who aren't too well off. She's opening a school in a country where people dont have that oppurtunity....she does wonderful things.

She is just a human being with good qualities, bad qualities and many qualities in between. She has opinons like the rest of us and it's up to us as individuals what we agree with or not. She does try hard to do good things with her position as a talk show host.
Some lonely people may treat watching her show as a religion, but she makes no claims to be a religion.

Oprah is an institution, howbeit, a very rich one. But she is doing a lot of good - like the school for girls in S, Africa. Finally, a rich person who knows how to spend her money!!

No. She is a resourceful, compassionate, articulate, ambitious woman who has applied her great communication skills and business savvy to produce and host the most holistic, comprehensive and enlightening talk show, magazine and film publishing empire.
Is Donald Trump a religion? Is Rupert Murdoch a religion? Why not mention them? Because they're not black women, that's why.
