I have had a couple of guys say that i am hot, but that doesn't mean they have wanted to date me. Most of the time they probably only trying to get in my pants (none of them did though). But i think the best thing to do, is tell him he is hot and see his reaction. Once you have started giving him some compliments; if he does like you he will make a move.

well the best way to find out is to let him know that hes hot too (if he is) and ask him what hes doing this weekend. If he says hes free, ask him out, if he say hes busy, see if he'll make plans for when hes free.
