The addresses do not have to match to file your taxes. Your mailing address, driver's license address, and W-2 address can all be different and it won't matter for filing your tax return.

If the address on the W-2 does not match your mailing address, be sure to correct that in the software program, which may fill in the mailing address.

If you are trying to get a loan against your refund, then yes, the different addresses on your ID and mailing address can be a problem. Some places will not process your loan.

The location that you file your taxes doesn't matter either.

It won't hurt your income tax return. But most states have a law that you have to change your drivers license over within a fairly short time after moving there, often 30 days, so it would be a good idea to get it done. You can get your taxes done wherever you want to. You'd file them showing your current address.

be smart to change your license in case you do something stupid while driving. You don't have to go to a special place to file and Florida does NOT have a state income tax.

No, your license does not have to match your address on your tax return. You can have your taxes done in any state.

As long as your SS# matches your okay. You can get your taxes done in Florida. I moved from Texas to Maryland and got my done in Maryland. I certainly was not going to go all the way to Texas to have my taxes done.
