He talked to me a couple days ago after I told him my mother was in the hospital adn he di ask If she was ok. But since he messed up our relationship w/ some old lying boozing heifer he now sees her for what she is. I don't live near him now and he has been with her for a few weeks but is tired of her. I think he wants me to want him back because he was hinting at it the last we talked. I didn't get it at the time but he wanted me to tell him "no" that we aren't over but he wouldn't tell me that was on his mind. I think he is playing games but he is so sad and pathetic I'm not sure he knows that's what he is doing. Why do you think he wants to play with my emotions like that?
We also have a child.
I don't tell him I love him or want him back so I am not misleading him either.

It appears that you still have feelings for him. Otherwise, you wouldn't be "confused". If you were DONE with him, this wouldn't bother you. Pray & ask God for guidance for yourself & the best interests of your child. Sometimes men can really & truly realize that they've made a mistake & have lost a true treasure in their wife. In that case, it is worth finding out, but ONLY if you still love him. Others are just morally corrupt & do this over & over. They aren't worth taking their phone calls. Good luck & God bless.

If he is out of your life indefinitely, why is there confusion?
The only common link between you two is the child.
As long as he helps you raise and care for the child, you two have no other business. He chose her over you, remember the reason why you two split. Whether it was your fault or his, if it is something that can be resolved together, resolve it, that would be best for the child. But, if it can't be, don't force something to work that won't, then the child would suffer. It sounds like he needs to focus on reality, you two are over. Apparently, the grass isn't always greener on the flip side.
