I'm looking for an AM radio(new, not an old style one) that really pulls the signals in well. I've done a few searches and cant find one. Are their any high powered AM radios?

I know you can find them on E-bay. But if you are wanting AM broadcast you can find some really nice radios at http://www.ccrane.com/ they have some of the best Am reception I have ever found in a radio. They also sell antennas, I've never tried one of them but have heard good things about them. You could also try swapmeets and hamfests, I have found many good deals at those. I would stay away from the cheap 20.00 radios as these tend to get alot of overload from nearby stations. In the end you get what you pay for with those.

No one manufactures AM only radios anymore. There is no real point since a nice radio will pull in every signal well. Just have to make sure the antenna is at the right angle and there are not any large objects blocking the reception.

Manufacturers aren't allow to produce an AM only radio. They have to be AM/FM. The biggest issue with receiving any signal is the antenna. Some radios have a connection on the back for an external AM antenna. See if you can find one of those. You may have to ask around a bit.

yes it is possible to buy ione but the problem is thatin comparision to an FM one, which provides us to listen to the RADIO stations miles away,
the AM radio will need u to get in a close distance from the station or the area of the orgin of the sound.

There are very few available; it costs so little to add FM reception to an AM radio nowadays that almost all manufacturers do so.

I really don't think so. But you might be able to MAKE one if you go buy a kit at, say, Radio Shack.
