In early Sept I met a guy who lived in a different city. He had broken up with his live-in girlfriend in Apr, but was up front about it and seemed to be getting over it. He invited me to his house and on weekend trips. I know he was into me and I know we immediately clicked. He told me he thought I was amazing and was really acting like he was into me. Things progressed quickly; we were both having a good time. Then in late Nov. I mentioned going to see him on a three day weekend and he got distant. Ten days later he told me that he thought the distance was hard, he felt things were going too fast, and he was still sorting himself out from his breakup and didn't think he could be good for anybody right now. Looking back maybe I called a little too much (only like once a week) or brought things up too quickly. Did I scare him away? I can't stop thinking about him. I am still crushed. Do you think he could still be thinking about me and is there a chance he might call one day?

Give him a little time to "sort himself out"if he feels the same way about you he will call, but you shouldnt wait around hoping if you havnt spoken to him since the it may be time to move on.

Two possibilities:

1.) A live-in girlfriend is a pretty serious previous relationship in most guys' books - that's like being married in a lot ways. If it was his ex-girl's decision to break-up, he might still be trying to get back together with her (even if she's dating other guys). In this scenario, things could work out for you, if you can get him to wake up and realize that the old relationship beyond-any-question-over.

2.) The other possibility is that he doesn't care about his ex. In this case, most of us single guys are all about immediately hooking up with a good looking girl whenever possible. If he doesn't care about his ex and isn't taking immediate steps to get you in his bed then there's either a third party you're not hearing about and he's not telling you because he'd like to string you along just in case or he's just not interested in you period. Forget him ASAP and move on in this case.

It's not easy to forget the people you have been acquainted with, especially if you liked the person concerned and harboured some feelings for him/her in the past. You will always have a softcorner for them in your heart.
