Nope. Situps build your abdomen and obliques, which then inturn rely on your bodies fat storage for contentious energy. Fat can never in reality TURN to muscle. You body just uses it as an energy source when you don't eat enough to sustain your current weight.

No, because fat and muscle are not the same thing, nor can you turn one into the other.
You can work out your stomach muscles, but to get a "cut look" or six pack to show definition you will have to lower your body fat.

It is impossible to spot burn fat! There is no way to turn fat into muscle! You can do as many sit-ups as you want-the only result will be an increase in muscle mass under the existing fat. To get rid of the fat you will need to eat healthier as well.

Fat is burned and muscle is built. Fat is burned in a combination of ways: cardiovascular exercise (get your heart rate going!) and metabolism. Situps, as well as other strength training exercise build muscle (good!), which, in turn increases your metabolism (added bonus!) Unfortunately, it's not as simple as turning a few pudges into packs!

situps develop your muscles, and the muscles in turn "consume" the fat above it

No. The fat needs to go away by dieting, otherwise your building muscle underneath your fat. Exercise and diet should work together.

are you serious? no, however if you build more muscle your body will burn more calories to maintain them, therefore you will be storing less calories as fat. if you burn more calories than you take in (eat) the fat will be burned as fuel for your body. maybe you should try reading a good fitness magazine. you will learn a lot about how to be healthy from them. good luck
