Registered Nurse here; Could be doing routine task your preoccupied and not giving the activity your attention. Going through the motions without even thinking about what your doing. Now for the soul thing, not sure, don't fully understand the question. However I believe I understand enough to strongly suggest you seek mental health intervention. Local MHMR, if not one in your area. Call or see a Family Practice Physician, he or she can certainly point you in the right direction. Strongly believe you would benefit from a mental health professional. Thanks for the opportunity to address your question.

That happens to me sometimes, too. You have to "wake yourself up" and do something out of the ordinary... something you wouldn't be able to do when in "automatic" mode. Make a change in your routine that you have to make a conscious effort to remember or try something new (a new hobby, meet new people).

You may feel disconnected from your Soul because you are not on purpose with your life. Find your passion. Find your purpose. Connect your passion with service to others and you have your purpose in life - your reason for being. You will feel your Soul when you are 'on purpose', serving your passion and others.

Best wishes and good luck.

Well I don't know if this helps or not but I felt the same way before and it actually was anxiety. Have you ever had any issues with anxiety or depression? or post tramatic stress syndrome?
