I took my date to my favorite steak restaurant, Texas Roadhouse, however when we both got our meals she complained to the waiter saying that her steak was undercooked, which it was. However mine was perfect, in this situation what the hell do I do? Do I just dig in and enjoy my $15.00 steak or wait for her meal to return while mine gets cold. I couldn't figure out what to do other then be as nice and sweet as possible, even when she had just been the rudest I have ever seen her, and share my steak, feeding her bites...Considering the situation did I do right, or is there anything else I might have done so we could have both enjoyed our meals?

First of all, I didn't consider a heating lamp as a good choice, I mean I'm eating at a pretty nice restuarant not McDonalds. So I guess it was just wasn't my preference...not the best time to be picky but oh well...And I said she was being rude, because she raised her voice and threatend the waiter that she would tell the manager and get the poor guy fired, which I thought was rude. Considering it was the cooks fault not the waiter...Either way the night went great, she was happy that I shared some of my meal with her (altho my stomach wasn't) and it was a good learning experience for the both of us and a chance to show our true colors. Thanks for the input

hahahaha ... what a tough dilemma, especially if you are hungry.
Your real character will come out ... so do whatever you really
want ... just keep in mind it may affect the way she views you
for the rest of your life!

What did she say ... maybe sharing is the best idea, then do
not tip the waiter either. A good waiter if your problem was
real, and you said the steak was undercooked, would offer
to get her something else to eat ... or split your meal .., you
have to think on your feet a bit for this one.

Hope the night went OK for you.

If you got the same things, share of give her yours ... that
will earn you points forever ... just do not make too much
a habit of it unless you want to lose weight! :-)

Lol, that sucks. Well, you said date which suggests you haven't been seeing her very long and still trying to make a good impression. All they did, was take her old steak and throw it back on the grill, shouldn't have taken more than 5-10 mins.

So not eating yours was the right thing to do. But if you share bites, then you're not going to get full, but that is a smooth move.
They got heating lamps there I'm sure. You could have asked the waiter to put yours under the heating lamp until hers was ready, so you could eat together. No one likes to watch someone else eat when you're hungry, so just eating it prob wouldn't be cool. But if you was dating a long time or married, then sharing the meal would be good, and make her share hers when it comes!

Well if her steak was under done she was not rude for sending it back...Since it was the fault of the restaurant, you could have ask the waiter to take your steak back and keep it warm until hers was cooked to her wishes and bring back the meals togeather when hers was done...thats would have been acceptable....som people do not like rare meat ans unless she made a scene then I do not think she was rude at all...
