On the back of their cartons, they say that they are committed to a healthy earth. I don't see how making containers out of unrecyclable wax cardboard is conducive to making the environment healthier.

Good question, and I don't know the answer but...for example, things are not always what they seem. I have heard a good argument that glass bottles are more wasteful than plastic. The reason being that the glass is only recycles ~8 times, the energy to make every 8 times, plus the energy to clean and get ready for reuse is more than the energy needed to make 8 plastic bottles. Some kind of full (energy)cost-benefit-analysis might explain the use of wax cardboard.

It's a cheap marketing tactic to sell more product. The company doesn't believe in the cause. It's all a phoney imagine.

Great question. What a contradiction. You would think they would use something that's biodegradable for their containers.
