What is it with so many religious nuts who feel it is their duty to knock on our doors and preach their dogma to us?? Would they be welcoming if an atheist knocked on THEIR door lecturing them on why god is not real??

Why is it so difficult for them to respect the religious beliefs (or lack there of) of others??

Well, I am a Christian, and I don't like when Jehovah's Witnesses or Mormons knock on my door. But there is one thing I know for sure:

Jesus said:
"Behold I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with hm and he with Me."

I realize that you are an atheist, but no matter what anyone believes there are things that the bible has prophesied that have come to pass that cannot be denied. That is why I put my faith in Jesus, the prophecy that has been fulfilled to date has been 100%

Christians are commanded to preach.
How would we know your beliefs if we didn't go and knock first?

Commanded to Preach:
Matthew 24:14 14 And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come.

Jesus disciples: Acts 5:42; And every day in the temple and from house to house they continued without letup teaching and declaring the good news about the Christ, Jesus.

Jesus talking: Acts 20:20; while I did not hold back from telling YOU any of the things that were profitable nor from teaching YOU publicly and from house to house

We are ordered to preach: Acts 20:42; Also, he ordered us to preach to the people and to give a thorough witness that this is the One decreed by God to be judge of the living and the dead

Matthew 28:18,19,20 And Jesus approached and spoke to them saying “All authority has been given me in heaven and on the earth, 19 God therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you
And look! I am with you all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.

Acts 10:42 Also he ordered us to preach to the people and to give a thorough witness

2Timothy 4:2 preach the word, be at t urgently in favorably season, in troublesome season

that isn't any longer needed. seem objectively on the historic progression, and also you may want to make certain the slow relegation to mythology and folklore of each faith. Does somewhat all and diverse today nonetheless believe interior the historic Greek and Roman gods/goddesses? I relax my case. i believe that atheists might want to manage in common words on a case-by technique of-case foundation on each occasion fundamentalist prepared non secular idiots attempt to insinuate their malevolent doctrines onto secular society by ability of the political procedure. in the different case, we would want to continuously all bypass our separate, godless approaches, with each purpose of living the in common words lives all of us understand for particular interior the perfect possible way. No knocking on doorways - that is phuckking stressful! P.S. John Safran receives his atheistic factor for the era of in basic terms about besides as Dawkins and Hitchens, yet in a funnier way.

Christians care about others and hope that all well come to a knowledge of God/salvation. It's not being rude, pushy, or demanding. It's done out of care. Consider this: A Christian doesn't get paid by his/her Church for showing care. It's not some sort of contest where the Christian with the most contacts will win a trip to Jamaica or a car or a bunch of money. It is care, devotion, love.

Haven't you heard that story of a King that ruled a small town. The King had his own water supply. One day, someone poisoned the towns water supply and all the people went mad. They turned on the King because he was now different to them. So the King had no choice but to drink the towns water too and go mad. This same philosophy is why Christians are compelled to spread their religion. it won't be considered crazy if the majority partake in its nonsense.

If you thought you had information that would heal your neighbor, keeping it to yourself would be uncaring. This is how those with these religious beliefs feel. It's misguided care, so perhaps we should take it as such.

The believes suppose that they find some favor with god by trying to convince others of their delusions. Clearly, this does not apply to atheists, who look for favor only to themselves.
