depends on how long, what age your child is, potty trained or not, and who you hire. if you are talking an evening out i think the going rate of teenage babysitters is around 5-10 and hour. (lol wish that was the rate when i was a teen. i was lucky to get $10 for the night) if you're talking during the day it will vary on if it's in home, a center and how long. i pay $60 a week for 4 hours a day 4 days a week from a licensed provider for a 1 year old.

It depends on the area you are in. I have a 3 month old and a 3 yr old. I pay $20 a day for the baby and $18 for the 3 yr old. Some daycares make u pay whether the child is there or not - even for vactions. So just call around your area a price check and find out policies

I charge $8 per hour per child ( or $13 for 2 children and $5 per child there on) if child is awake when I am there.

If child just going to bed, or in bed already, I charge $2 less per hour.

It comes down to what you think you should pay, and the experience of the person baby sitting. Ask the sitter what they want per hour, and then discuss it with them. I was always allowed to use the internet and eat whatever was in the cupbords when i babysat, so I charged a little cheaper than most.

Hope this helps you.

It really depends on where you live. I live in the suburbs of a major Canadian city, and I pay $5/hr. I have three kids, and I don't pay per child.

It also depends on the age of the sitter. $5/hr to a 13 or 14 year old is a ton of cash. To a college student, they could work at McD's for way more!!!

it depends on how old the babysitter is and how old your children are. it also depends on how many kids you have. if the babaysitter is like 14 or older she should probably get about 6 dollars an hour per kid. i you have a baby then you mght want to pay more.

Depends on how old your child or children are.... and where you live, and what kind of experience the babysitter has.

Charge by kid. $5 an hour per child. Also, think of your babysitter, is she/he just doing this as side cash or is this her only source of money? Is she/he younger or older? A lot of experience or just a litte? Consider those in how much you pay her/him.
