I am almost 21 years old. I am a junior in college. This freshman asked me out for coffee. He is really sweet and nice but is it weird for an upperclassman to date a underclassman? I don't know. What do you think?

Stop living by other peoples rules for goodness sake. I've dated younger guys and there is nothing wrong with it.

Its a personal choice. Its not my cup of tea but if its yours then dont worry about what other people think. I am 21 and have been in a relationship with a guy 20 years older than I, it may be awkward for a bit, but once you get to know the person, things settle down and work out well. Just don't think about it at the superficial level. If he is of an interest to you, then date away.

I think it sounds perfectly fine. More than 3/4 of my friends are going out with younger guys, so it's not an oddity at all. If you like him, go for it. Don't let your rep get in the way of a possibly good relationship. If it does end up being weird, you're not obligated to do anything you dont want to. Good luck with the date!

As long as he is over 18 and you enjoy his company go for it. what is there to feel weird about. When u say younger we expect to hear something like your 30 and he is 17. I personally wouldn't even few your issue as he is younger. i married a man younger then me by 3 years. I never thought of it like I married a younger man. Were close enough in age that its not like he has to feed me or change my diapers. I keep up with him and then some

two years is not that much. I'm 5 years older than my husband and we don't even consider the difference.

A lot has to do with where you are in life. If you both have strong goals for the future and are on the same level in reaching for those goals, your common ground may be all you need.

compatibility is more important than chronological age.

as long as he is OVER 18 then go for it. If he is NOT 18 or older then do not date him until he is. Check his license to make sure he is really over 18. Just let him see yours and tell him you and your friends were comparing license pics today and you want to see his. Then check his date of birth to make sure he is really over 18.
18 and 21 is a big difference mentally but if he seems mature enough then don't worry about it. Check his age before you dump him. And ask your friends what they think because if they don't like it or are going to harrass you about it, then it isn't worth it.

youthful or older. it does no longer matter see you later because the age enormous difference isn't too enormous. it would want to be major for a guy in intense college to locate a woman youthful than him so that is more effective like he's the guy interior the relationship. if a intense college guy were to this point a woman older than him, he might want to sense more effective like only a boy

Ok, your a "junior in college" and you have matured enough to be "accepted to be seen with a FRESHMAN"... chica, that is so HIGH SCHOOL, serious, if you like the dude, then go on a darn date with him, if not, tell him no. Who cares about his age.

Personally, I think once you hit college-age, everyone's fair game. He's obviously intelligent and motivated enough to be a student, and he might have more maturity than the average freshman (or you might have less than the average junior?). ;) I say more power to you if you hit it off.

If you like him, it shouldn't matter. Follow your gut instinct. Also, is it really an age thing or is it something else. Consider that very closely. It is only two years and some change. Good luck to you.
