The alum in a can leaves an aftertaste because of the metal it has. Just like a glass with a silver or gold rim can. A bottle does not have those impurities and is better for every beverage....just try a coke from a can , then try a cold glass bottle. You can tell the difference right away .

As a member of the Beer Advocate website for about 2.5 years now these kinds of bottling quality questions/debates come up frequently; regarding canned beer its been addressed recently in the Philly area due to Sly Fox Brewery releasing their Phoenix Pale Ale in cans(!). I live 30-40 min. from Sly Fox so getting a fresh can around here is not a problem (if you are into microbrewed hoppy pale ale). Normally I would agree with you but I actually have found a canned beer I love, and I will totally mail you a sixer if you live in the States so you can try it too. :)

Beer sure do taste better in the bottle and is less expensive. In the cans they get the beer cold and then thraw and then recold it and with the glass beer this is not done.

Because the bottle keeps it more carbonated. I personally prefer draft beer over any of them
