Its long and funny looking and shaped like a boot. Its mostly coastline. Its had more governments since WW2 than any other European country. It has more Italians than any other country. Jacobean English play rights have written more plays about it, without actually going there, than any other country (even England). Its national cuisine is not wholly based on garlic, noodles, and tomatoes sauce. Many Italians can and do speak without expansive hand gestures and in quiet reasoned tones. It only dates to the 19th century as a country. It used to have a king (oh that's not unique).

It has a tit bridge, the head of a jack *** on the body of a cardinal with fire under him in the corner of the ceiling of the Christine Chapel, and the Chapel also has a room full of male genitalia that were broken from statues that were deemed lewd by a cardinal.

ok i'm italian and I live in turin in the north, You know Turin? it was the olympic host city last year... there was lot of people, americans included :-)
but I'm a "fake" italian 'cause I don't like "stuff" that other people loves about italy...
I DON'T LIKE:
- sofia loren & monica bellucci
- broccoli.. bleah!!
- some cheese.. well, I like only parmigiano on pasta.
- Rome
- italian music.... OMG!... ok some's good like.. mmm... Laura pausini, tiziano ferro...
- the prejudgments because of Mafia (Don't need fear in italy! Mafia doesn't kills innocent civilians or tourists! there's bad people just like other countries all over the world. Don't think this things because of that movie "the godfather".
There are bad quarters just like "bronx" in NY for example...).
Btw, I LIKE:
- italian fashion (my favourite are D&G & PRADA.. SO expensive :-(
- food... like PIZZZZZZA, Pollo (chicken), carne (meat), gelato (ice-cream), pasta, dolci (cakes) etc....
- history... (we aren't so much patriots for example you don't see italian flags in the street or in the house)...
- city like torino, milano, venezia. Regions like Sardegna, Sicilia...
So, we use to say: "Italiani Brava Gente" (Italians Nice People).
About "U.S.A IN ITALY" i like:
- Family guy (called "I GRIFFIN" in italy)
- The simpsons... (they're in italy from 1987... a must see 4 italians)
- McDonald's... parapapapà à à à I'm lovin' it! (BIg tasty, Big mac, Chicken Salads, milkshake).. In italy doesn't exist "supersize"... we know about it tnx to the movie/documentary "Supersize Me"..
- Beaty and the Geek (italian version called "La pupa e il secchione" "Dolls & Nerds" in english).
- Dawson's creek from sooo faaaar 1997.
- Will & Grace
- Dr. House
- C.S.I las vegas... but I don't like the other spin-off.
- Final destination series.
- Wes Craven's SCREAM and NIGHTMARE series..
...and many more...
so, I would like to visit the USA a day...
if I'll need help for know what visiting,

xoxo from italy... ciao!
