If a shot = one beer, then wouldn't that be equal to the 6 beers I drink?

First of all, it's Jager and second liquor processes faster than beer so it affects you sooner. If you didn't drink the rest of the night you would feel the same affects on your body as beer.

I don't know what a Monster shot is, but a regular size shot of Jager is 35% alcohol or 70 proof, which isn't even as strong as regular tequila, whiskey, rum or vodka. However , it was originally designed to be a medicine so it has a lot of herbal ingredients that may have their own effect. Try slamming down some ice cold Robitussin DM shots you'll see what I mean.
Most beers sold in America at the 7-11 or whatever are between 4.5 to 6.1%. Molson Golden is over 6%. Bud Light is the weakest, followed by Coors Light, then Bud Coors and Miller all weigh in at 5% .
The other thing is the pace of your drinking. I would be more likely to slam the shots down instead of sipping them slowly, shots make your blood alcoholl go up rapidly, which makes you feel drunker than you are as it hits you all at once.
An interesting example of the effects of pacing your drinking is the drinking game "the 100 club" in which you drink 100 oz of beer in 100 minutes. I knew of people in college who could drink a case of beer in a night but were completely rendered by it. The thing is you have to take each drink exactly a minute apart.

Perhaps you should try adding 10 ounces of water per shot of Jager to study the effect of that additional liquid. Also try 3 malt liquors (at twice the alchoholic content of beer) and check that effect as well. To fully understand the difference you will need an empirical test administered every 20 minutes; try having a friend throw a dart and see if you can catch it.

maybe becuase while they both have the same amount of alcohol, you take 2 seconds to drink a shot as opposed to 10-15 minutes for a beer. Probably because all the alcohol hits you faster.

A shot doesn't equal one beer, where did you hear that? Liquor is a lot stronger than beer and much less of it can put you on the floor than double that in beer. Take it easy and don't drink a lot in a short period of time also. That can get you real drunk, real quick.

Jager has higher alcohol content .Beer has less alcohol content . Also shots tend to be consumed faster than beers too.

1st of all you have your facts wrong...

1 shot = one 12 oz beer= one 6oz glass of wine = 1 hr to clean from the body
if you eat correctly and dont have any damage to your body from drinking already, weight, height, and sex

Jager is 90% and most beers are 11%-20%
there is a huge difference

i wouldn't think they would be equal to each other. i'm assuming the yager has more alcohol content than the beer.

Because, it depends on the whiskey's % (proof). Whiskey can vary a lot from 50%, 60% 80%, 100% 120% of the alcohol content. One jigger of whiskey may have a lot more dizzy stuff in it than say a 20% proof can of beer. Wine's alcohol proof varies too - 10% to 60%. I hope this helps you AND please don't drink and drive your too young and (inside) handsome to die!
