No you can't cure it but there is medication for it. Have your friend see the doc and ask about the medication Requip.

This common condition is NOT caused by a drug deficiency. To cure any condition, you must first find the CAUSE.

Common potential causes of RLS include:

- Magnesium deficiency
- Iron deficiency
- Food allergies/intolerances
- Abnormalities of Serotonin function

It is important to recognize that if you treat the symptoms with a symptom masking drug and do not find and fix the underlying problem(s), then the underlying problems continue to exist and they will eventually cause other health conditions/problems!

Best wishes and good luck.

there is no cure - my wife has a sever case of it and it is progressing. Requip and mirapex are two drugs that help. Watch mirapex because it can cause an addictive behavior such as gambling.

There are several new drugs out on the market that are very good for this...and some old ones that have proven effective. Has he been seen by an MD?...that's the first step.
