I happen to agree with previous posters-16 is too young to be worried about whether you're in love or not. You have other things to be focused on, like school, extra-curricular activities, and such. Plus, I remember that when I was 16, I thought I was in love someone every month-and half of those folks I don't even give a thought today. Wait, enjoy being young, and love, when you're ready, will find you!

well, its a hard call..
depends on the individual..I am 29 and knew the guy I was with when I was 16 was true love..and we are still together today..
most 16 year olds do not have the same experience as I have and had.. almost 99 percent are not experiencing true love..
you just have to do some serious thinking and weigh all the options, pros and cons of the relationship brfore you make such a serious decision...

Your exactly right. At 16, no one knoes what love actually is. I dont even know and I am 19. Some people know when they become an adult,. but even adults dont know for sure till long after they are married. It is deffinitly not worth any wait at all. Good luck, you'll figure it out.

You have life ahead of you. To think of such serious issues such as this at this time of your life is not healthy. It is most likely the person you care for today is not the person you will care for in 5 years. You are too young to make such decisions. There is no test or sign ... at your age.

im 25 and I say you can easily wait the 1.5 years. thats nothing. it will go by so fast you wont even notice. but a little girlfriend on the side wont hurt. but let the long distant girl know. cause it wont be fair to keep her single waiting for you while your practising on some other chick.

my boyfriend waited for me long distance for that long, because he was madly in love with me. after about a year of living near each other and dating i had to dump him because i didnt love him anymore. (when i was sixteen)
... so there is no making sure. but remember that sometimes it is better to take chances and love for a short time!
