That is...in an invitation to a child's birthday party? We live a couple miles outside the city limits and I thought I would include a simple written note of the shortest way to get to our house. Do you think this is a helpful thing or sounds like your desperate?

I not only think that it is a good idea but think it would be quite considerate of you.

I think this is a wonderful idea.

Most of the people take for granted that eveybody know where they live. But it is very helpful for everyone. I can give a thousand situations where the directions in an invitation come handy.

Please go ahead. Hope it is not a written down lengthy description but a nice pic or drawing.

Have a wonderful party!

I think that's a lovely idea. Very helpful, especially if the people being invited wouldn't usually be in your neck of the woods.Very considerate and thoughtful. I wouldn't think it's desperate.

That's Super helpful!! It makes it easier for everyone, i mean, what parent wants to drive around while fiddling with a map and calming down their already excited party-going kid? I've even seen invitations with a hand drawn map attached. It's not desperate, it's smart and considerate.

This is very thoughtful of you. No it does not sound like you are desperate, it just shows that you care and want to make sure that your guest do not get lost.

I think it is a great thing to do, especially as many parents probably dont know your area. It would be very helpful, and not at all desperate. It is considerate.

I think it sounds like the most helpful and reasonable thing to do. It would never occur to me that it sounded desperate.

It's considerate of you. I work for a printshop and it is very common for people to include a map on their wedding reception invites. They even sometimes have a seperate enclosure with a map on it.

It's completely appropriate and I think it would be very helpful. I don't think it seems desperate at all -- rather thoughtful.

It sounds perfect. The other parents will find this very helpful. Great idea, and if your home is hard to find, I wouldn't even consider otherwise.
